If a Deal Is Too Good to Be True, It Usually Is

Recently, we have had a number of customers visit our store, who have purchased cheap work boots from markets and online vendors, like Gumtree. We always advise all of our customers to purchase any work boots from an authorised dealer.

A recent example of this, is a customer who came to see us, who had purchased work boots from a market and the sole of their boots peeled off after 6 hours of wear. When the customer returned to the market for a refund, the vendor was no longer there.

Unfortunately, stories like this are becoming increasingly common, as unauthorised sellers try to cash in on selling low quality boots. The main issue, and especially in this instance is the polyurethane which is used in the sole of all work boots, is stored by these sellers in a dark place for an extended period of time. This helps the polyurethane to deteriorate very quickly, and in turn rapidly reduces the life of the boots.
