UPF Ratings
Our workwear knows a thing or two about Australia’s unique work conditions. That’s why our UPF rated workwear provides either good, very good or excellent protection from the harsh rays of the sun. All of our workwear has been tested by independent, accredited laboratories and are rated according to Australian/New Zealand Standard AS/NSZ 4399:1996 Sun Protection Clothing Classification.
There are many important factors which should be considered when selecting your workwear. The UPF rating is for fabric only, and does not take into account the design of the garment.
For those who are working in the outdoors, we recommend garments that cover the maximum area of the body. For example, we recommend selecting workwear with full arm and leg coverage. To ensure complete protection on top of this, we would also recommend a hat and sunscreen to be worn.
Finally, the UPF protection offered by the garment may be lessened if the fabric is stretched, wet, in close contact with the skin, or worn out due to wear and tear over time.
